The School of Mathematical & Statistical Sciences invite students to participate in the exciting Junior Mathematics Enrichment initiative.  This programme aims to offer Junior cycle pupils (normally 2nd or 3rd year):

  • a wider perspective on Mathematics and its role in life and society
  • an opportunity to develop their problem solving skills
  • an environment centred on the enjoyment of investigation and discovery among like-minded peers.

The four-week programme takes the form of weekly sessions of ninety minutes duration. It is free of charge and is delivered by a dedicated collective of lecturers and students of the BA in Mathematics and Education degree at the University of Galway.

The programme is open to pupils who show a genuine interest in mathematics and are able to commit to the above schedule.
