Saoirse Ellis

Saoirse Ellis is a PhD candidate at the Molecular Parasitology Laboratory (MPL). She completed her undergraduate degree in Biology and Psychology at Durham University, followed by a Master’s degree in Parasitology and Pathogen Biology at Queen’s University, Belfast. During this Master’s she researched RNA binding proteins secreted by Fasciola hepatic (liver fluke) in extracellular vesicles. She is currently working on vaccine trials against liver fluke in sheep.
