Research
Research Overview
Biochemistry in NUIG is highly active in research, with significant research funding from national and international sources, and in teaching, where about 400 undergraduate students following different degree courses study biochemistry each year. We have a highly international environment, with approximately 100 staff members and research students coming from about twenty-five countries around the world. We also engage in numerous international collaborations in our various research topics and students from the Discipline frequently take part in such collaborations.
