Conferring Ceremonies for Adult Learners
The Centre for Adult Learning & Professional Development Conferring Ceremonies will take place over two sessions on Saturday 23rd November 2024 in the Bailey Allen Hall, Áras na Mac Léinn on the University of Galway campus.

*All graduands must be gowned and seated half an hour before the start of each session.
Outstanding Fees Deadline
The deadline for the payment of outstanding fees is Monday, 4th November 2024. Please ensure any outstanding fees, penalties, library fines etc. are paid by deadline in order to be eligible to attend the Conferring.
Parchment Name
Please ensure your name is correct for the issue of parchments (this includes accents, apostrophes, etc.). To ensure your name is correct you should check your Registration Statement and/or Transcript of Results to confirm.
Change of Address
If you are unable to attend the ceremony in person, your parchment will be posted directly to you. Please update your information should you have a change of home address. This can be done via the Student Registry Helpdesk at Student Registry Helpdesk - University of Galway
Tickets
All graduands are entitled to 2 guest tickets only. No additional tickets can be assigned. Please contact your Course Administrator for additional information. General queries on the ceremonies can be directed to adultlearningconferring@universityofgalway.ie
Robes
All graduates must pre-book robes with the official robe-makers, Phelan Conan Limited before Midnight Sunday 17th November 2024. Robes may be pre-booked online at www.phelanconan.com. The pre-paid hire fee is €45 or Pay on the day hire fee is €50. Payment on the day can be made by scanning our QR code.
Due to the implementation of a personal 3D secure password during the credit card payment process on www.phelanconan.com. Phelan Conan Ltd staff are no longer able to take bookings over the phone. This has been created to protect your online payments and if you don’t already have a 3D secure password you can activate it by following the simple instructions during the booking process. If you experience any further problems with 3D secure process, please contact your bank.
Robes can be collected on Friday 22nd November between 6pm – 8pm OR on the day of your ceremony, 23rd November, from 8am in Room G010-G011 in the Hardiman Building, University of Galway.
Cash will not be accepted. All gowns must be returned to Phelan Conan as soon as possible after the conclusion of the ceremony.

Your conferring day is a big celebration for you, your friends and family. To honour the occasion Lafayette Photography has been appointed as the official photographer. Pre-book your graduation photography today online at www.lafayette.ie to activate your private gallery and to view prices. Layafette studios are open before and after each ceremony.
Duplicate Parchments
Should you require a copy of your parchment or an English version please contact University of Galway directly here. University of Galway cannot provide duplicate parchments directly.
