University of Edinburgh’s Centre of African Studies (CAS) Conference
PhD candidate Tomy Ncube recently attended the University of Edinburgh’s Centre of African Studies (CAS) conference, themed "Climate Dynamics and the Politics of a Post-Carbon Africa” which ran from 24-25 April 2025. At the conference Tomy delivered an oral presentation titled “Greening Africa's Future: Assessing progress since the 2009 Green Jobs Initiative – A literature Review”. Tomy attended thanks to a Ryan Institute’s Research Travel Support Scheme. Details on the conference can be accessed here conference programme; and conference call. This 2025 annual conference attracted multidisciplinary research, ranging from pure science-tech solutions for addressing climate impacts in Africa, up to people-centred approaches.
