Undergraduate Awards

• €2,000 for all first-year students on courses in the College of Arts, Social Sciences and Celtic Studies
• One Excellence Scholarship to the value of €20,000 (spread over four years at €5,000 per year).

Region-Based (USA) - IDEA Scholarship
15% off tuition for three students across all undergraduate programmes in the college.

Region-Based (China) - Claddagh Scholarship
€2,000 off tuition for two students across all undergraduate programmes in the college.

IDEA Scholarship eligibility:
Applicants must be referred by IDEA (Philadelphia), and this must be noted on the application form. All eligible students will be automatically considered. Students will be notified soon after they receive an offer. 

Postgraduate Taught Awards

One Excellence Scholarship to cover the full tuition of the programme.

€2,000 scholarship for all students who have a First Class Honours Undergraduate Degree, or equivalent.

€1,500 scholarship for all returning study abroad and exchange students. This is eligible for any student who studied abroad at University of Galway, including attending the Summer School programmes.

All eligible international applicants will be considered for the scholarships. No separate application is required.
