Remote Wellbeing Working
Remote work refers to employee working outside of their usual office space. Working remotely rather than an on-site office provides employees and the employer with a range of benefits including reduced travelling time and, in some cases, a greater work life balance .
Remote working is agreed and enabled through a discussion with your line manager.
The university of Galway supports remote working and has a hybrid working policy. All staff are advised to take some time reading the policy and ensuring their environment at home is supportive to their health and wellbeing and adheres to the QA180-Hybrid Working Policy.
As you work remotely there sometimes can be challenges with a disconnection to your fellow colleagues and a sense of feeling overwhelmed .
Please check out the resources on the Mental Health Supports and Resources, which offers, information, supports and ideas on how to connect with your colleagues.
If you are feeling pressure, Ask FOR HELP if you need it. SMS Hello to 50808
The Employee Assistance Service (EAS) is a confidential service and is available to you 24/7.
