Social Wellbeing Banner

Social well being involves having supportive, meaningful relationships & a sense of belonging in a community. Positive social interactions enhance mental health, reduce stress & increase life satisfaction. Engaging in community activities & nurturing relationships can significantly improve overall well being.

The university of Galway understands the need to nurturing a sense of belonging with our community. The strategic Plan 2025 – 2030 Of Galway for the World includes a sense of belonging as one of our core values.

Belonging: The University strives to create an environment where students, staff and alumni feel welcomed, supported, connected and valued as an integral part of a community of learning that fosters academic engagement, professional development and personal growth, health and well being.
