University of Galway has site license agreements for SPSS, NVivo, Endnote, and Minitab software which allow students to download this software and install it on their own personal devices. To download this software please see the links below. Please note a Copyright Acknowledgement Form must be completed for SPSS and NVivo.

In addition to software available to students in the PC Suites, it is possible for students to avail of deals on certain software for use on their own personal devices.

Office Microsoft Office 365 Applications ISS are pleased to announce the new Microsoft Student Advantage program.  Because of the University's enterprise agreement with Microsoft, students are able to download and install Microsoft Office ProPlus desktop applications on up to 5 devices AT NO ADDITIONAL COST.

DreamSpark is a Microsoft program providing access to Microsoft software for the purposes of teaching, learning, and research.  It is available to all currently registered University of Galway students and staff.

Key Features

  • Access to free Microsoft software under the ’DreamSpark’ heading, subject to the Academic Licensing  Agreement.

Technical Information

Access to DreamSpark only requires an internet connection, web browser, and an active CASS login.  It does not require a network connection.  Because each software package has its own set of additional system requirements, we suggest you review the system requirements for each package by clicking the ’System Requirements’ link on the product page (located below the product’s description).
