Hi Jane, Rosaleen and Patsy,
Thank you all for organising a wonderful trip to a beautiful and historic part of Italy. It was truly memorable to see the elaborate baroque churches contrasting with the trulli, or the cave dwellings of Matera's Sassi. Our base in Brindisi enabled us to connect to some extent with the Roman history we learned at school, even if that era is no longer a headline topic for the guided tours.
