two freshers' point facilitators holding a poster about the event

Starting university is a significant transition, regardless of whether you're surrounded by familiar faces or arriving alone.

Freshers' Point aims to help ease the transition. This drop-in, weekly event offers you an opportunity to meet other first year students in a relaxed and casual setting.  Our student facilitators are on hand to offer practical advice and tips for navigating campus life, all while you enjoy free tea and coffee! Drop-in to take a breather in between lectures and connect with other students.

Freshers’ Point will start back in semester one and you can find out more information on our Tús Maith | Good Start Sharepoint Page. In the mean time there are loads of other great ways to get involved and meet new people. Have a look at the societies webpage to see what you might enjoy. https://socs.universityofgalway.ie/societies/
