New MSc Entrepreneurship and Venture Management
This Master’s programme in Venture Management and Business Scaling focuses on the practical aspects of managing and scaling new businesses, standing out from conventional entrepreneurship master's programmes’ attention on the preliminary stages of opportunity recognition and business model design. This unique programme is tailored to specific management career paths such as founders associates in startups, junior management roles in scaling ventures, and next-generation CEOs of new family business spin-off ventures.
The programme aims to equip students with the specialised skills and knowledge required to manage ventures from startup to harvest. It leverages the expertise and reputation of the Centre for Entrepreneurial Growth & Scaling (CEGS) at the University of Galway, a founder member of the European Scaleup Institute. Building on the established reputation for Masters degrees in Management at the J.E. The MSc in Cybersecurity Risk Management is a specialist qualification designed for students who wish to embark upon a career in the highly sought after area of IT security in a consultancy, strategic, business or management context. Upon successful completion of this MSc, graduates will be able to;

MSc HRM achieves alignment with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM)
We are delighted to announce that the MSc Human Resource Management programme has achieved alignment with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). It is the third programme in Ireland and among the first 10 in Europe to have achieved this recognition.
Founded in 1948 and headquartered in Virginia, USA, the Society for Human Resource Management is the world's largest HR professional society. SHRM promotes the role of HR as a profession and provides education, certification, and networking to its members. Since its inception, the Society has been serving the needs of its members and advancing the practice. Students enrolled in SHRM HR aligned programmes are provided with the opportunity to earn their SHRM-CP credential prior to graduating, providing them with a competitive advantage in the job market. Throughout the world, over 500 programs in approx. 425 educational institutions have been acknowledged by SHRM as being in alignment with its suggested guides and templates.
University of Galway Tax Clinic
The University of Galway Tax Clinic is a free student-run clinic where you will receive advice from University of Galway students under the supervision of experienced tax practitioners in a caring and trusting environment. The Tax Clinic aims to ensure the fairness and integrity of the tax system for taxpayers and to be a source of free information in relation to issues around taxation. Our aim is to assist and educate unrepresented taxpayers with the lifelong skills to look after their own tax affairs.
MSc Global Environmental Economics partners with UN on Climate Change Adaptation
The MSc Global Environmental Economics at the University of Galway has recently partnered with the UN Climate Change and Universities Partnership Programme. The Partnership offers opportunities for graduate students to work closely with local, national, and regional partners and international experts to carry out research projects aimed at addressing identified knowledge gaps related to the challenges of adapting to climate change.
