Approximately 3 months before a contract is due to expire, HR will send a notification email to the hiring manager to alert them that the staff member’s contract will be expiring. 

Upon receipt of this email, the hiring manager must notify HR within 6 weeks of the contract expiry date if this post will be renewed or terminated by the return of mail.

Before submitting requests, you must ensure all approvals have been received. The hiring manager will ultimately be responsible and HR will proceed based on the information provided. 

Should you submit the request without stating the reasons/objective grounds and evidence of approvals, HR will nullify the request. Only applications where approval has been received will be processed.
