Contract Renewal / FTE Change Request (Researchers charged to an "R" account)

The hiring manager must also submit the following information in writing no later than 6 weeks prior to the change/renewal

  • The reason/objective grounds for renewing the contract on a temporary basis 
  • Confirmation of the name of the project the Researcher will be working on
  • The cost centre the researcher is costed too
  • Approved Post Proposal Form, linked below

Please note that employees hired on ‘once-off new posts for less than 6 months’ contracts are non-renewable. If you wish to extend the post past the initial 6 months, the post will need to be advertised in line with university policy and you should liaise with Recruitment in this regard.

 

Contract Renewal / FTE Change Request (Academic & Professional Support Unit charged to an "R" account) 

The hiring manager must also submit the following information in writing no later than 6 weeks prior to the change/renewal

  • The reason/objective grounds for renewing the contract on a temporary basis
  • Approval from the Executive Dean of College (approval should be sought by email to the Dean and copied to your HR Business Partner)
  • Approval from your College Finance Manager

 

Contract Renewal / FTE Change Request (any post to a D account)  

The hiring manager must also submit the following information in writing no later than 6 weeks prior to the change/renewal

  • The reason /objective grounds for renewing the contract on a temporary basis. 
  • Approval from your UMT member (approval should be sought by email to your UMT member and copied to the HR Manager supporting your office)
  • Approval from your College Finance Manager/Management Accounts
