Introduction to course

The CRIS (Current Research Information System) Award Management Module is scheduled to go live on the 18th of June 2026. From this point forward, researchers and administrators will be required to submit their application and budget proposals through CRIS for review by the Research Office and the Research Accounts Office.

This demonstration is designed to introduce participants to the system and provide the knowledge needed to use it effectively.

Aim

Equip researchers with the knowledge to use the CRIS Pre-award module, including how to navigate the system, create and submit applications and budget proposals for review by the Research Office and Research Accounts Office, and manage interactions with these offices within the CRIS system

  • Learn how to create and submit applications and budget proposals
  • Understand the review process with the Research Office and Research Accounts Office
  • Learn how to manage communication within the CRIS system

  • Introduction to the CRIS (Current Research Information System) Award Management Module
  • Navigating the CRIS system interface
  • Finding and selecting Funding Opportunities on the CRIS system
  • Creating and research applications and budget proposals
  • Submitting applications and budget proposals for review
  • Understanding the review and approval workflow
  • Managing communication and interactions with the Research Office and Research Accounts Office within CRIS
  • Tracking application status and outcomes
