In 2026 the ICAPSS was awarded My Green Lab Platinum certification status.
My Green Lab™ Platinum certification provides external recognition that the ICAPSS has embedded a high level of sustainable practice into the way its simulation and research facilities operate. This certification assesses the adoption and extent of green-lab practices across areas such as energy, water, waste, purchasing, equipment, resource management and staff engagement. Platinum represents a high level of adoption of these practices.
This certification demonstrates that sustainability is embedded within the operational strategy of ICAPSS rather than treated as a separate environmental initiative. It provides independent recognition of the adoption of sustainable practices across the facility.
