Taught Postgraduate students!
- Current Taught Postgraduate Students: Online Registration is now closed for the 22/23 academic year. See below for late registration information on "How to Register Now".

NEW STUDENTS: Any queries about your application such as: course deposit, application requirements, visa etc must be directed to postgradadmissions@nuigalway.ie, we can only assist you once you have accepted your offer.
- For any queries regarding start of term teaching dates, orientation, course set up etc, these are all to be directed to the relevant Dept /Dept Website / Course co-ordinator
- COLLEGE PERMISSION: Obtain Permission from College / School and forward to registration@universityofgalway.ie
- FEES: Contact the Fees Office at fees@universityofgalway.ie Once the Fees Office have cleared you to register, email registration@universityofgalway.ie with confirmation of same.
- STUDENT: In order for us to manually register you, we require your authorisation, please reply to this email if you want to register and accept the Universities Terms & Conditions.

Student ID card: Once registered and a suitable photo uploaded (by logging into your student portal here), your student ID card will be posted to your home address unless otherwise instructed. Please make sure your home address is correct on your student portal.
Module selection: After online registration has closed, you must get permission to add or delete modules to your curriculum from your College Office. Please email registration@universityofgalway.ie with the permission and relevant changes and we will update your record. Please include your student ID number on all correspondence.

You can log in to your student portal and view your curriculum / modules selection at any time.

- We can only assist your Registration in 22/23 if you have accepted your offer and received your Student ID number from the Admissions Office, please contact pgresearch@nuigalway.ie if this is not the case.

How do I Register if my PhD Start Date is after 1st March?
As you are starting your course between 1st March and 31st August, you will commence in a ‘0’ course stream e.g. 0SPC1. This stream allows you to register, obtain your student card set up your campus student accounts and gain access to a wide range of campus services and facilities.
*You will need to register again in August of this year for the 1st year of your course e.g. 1SPC1. All details will be on the registration webpage www.nuigalway.ie/registration later in the year. Click here for Information on How To Register now for Year 0.
Phd Start Date after March 1st
If your PhD start date is after 1st March 2023, click here for info on how to register NOW for the remainder of 2022/23.
