About the Graduate Outcomes Survey
Each year we survey recent graduates of the university on behalf of the HEA (Higher Education Authority).
This mandatory survey [of 2021 graduates] has now closed, results will be available in autumn 2022.
TAKE THE SURVEY
The Graduate Outcomes Survey explores what graduates like you are doing shortly after you complete your degree or postgraduate programme. As well as feeding into a national survey, the results help current students see the possibilities with their degree and helps with accreditation of courses as well as giving insight into the labour market for graduates today.
You can read more about the survey at HEA Graduate Outcomes Survey.
See the results of the 2017, 2018 and 2020 surveys in the HEA's interactive dashboard.
Thank you to everyone who took part in the most recent survey which was for those who graduated in 2020.
Due to the ongoing public health emergency, a decision was made made to cancel the survey of 2019 graduates due to start in March 2020.
In summer 2020, we surveyed our largest cohort to date with 5220 graduates.
Over 2,800 replied including 66% of all Bachelors graduates - 93% of whom were working (one-third in Co. Galway) or studying (majority at NUIG).
If you are interested in results from previous years see What do Graduates do?

The HEA use student records to produce anonymised aggregate data in annual statistical publications.
