Kelsey Rhude

Kelsey Rhude is a Hardiman Research PhD Scholar at the Irish Centre for Human Rights, under the supervision of Dr Anita Ferrara. Her PhD research examines local and restorative justice approaches in the context of post-conflict Liberia, with particular focus on the Liberian Truth and Reconciliation Commission, reparations, and the National Palava Hut Programme. Kelsey has experience in legal and socio-legal research, having worked as a research assistant and strategic consultant in academic and NGO spaces, across a diverse range of contexts including Ireland, Liberia, Canada, and Malawi, among others. Kelsey holds an LLM in International Human Rights Law from the University of Galway (Ireland) and a Combined Honours BA degree in Human Rights and Law with concentration in Transnational Law from Carleton University (Ottawa).
