Engineers Week | University of Galway
Engineers Week is one of the final major on-campus STEM engagement windows before students enter exam season.
Hosted inside the Alice Perry Engineering Building, this focused event connects employers directly with STEM students across all years — from early-stage awareness building to penultimate students preparing for placement and final years exploring graduate roles.
This is about early pipeline acceleration, not just immediate hiring.

Location: Zinc, Alice Perry Engineering Building
A high-visibility, conversational recruitment event during Engineers Week.

O’Flaherty Theatre | Hosted by Fidelity
An employability skills session designed to help STEM students understand how to build their professional presence and personal brand in the workplace.
This session focuses on:
- Workplace expectations in technical environments
- Communication and collaboration skills
- Professional conduct and career progression
- Transitioning successfully from campus to industry

Due to exceptional demand on campus, the University of Galway park and ride car park is not available for this event.

- Maryville house near the running track.
- Book your Complimentary Taxi Service from the Dangan, Sports Pavilion, Maryville house Carparks to the Alice Perry Engineering Building here.
Tip- If you walk back via the main road, you can take a shortcut through the IDA park to the park and ride bus stop (bus is Free)

Pay & Display at the University of Galway Campus
Exhibitors can also use Pay & Display spaces (if available), which are located in all Car Parks on campus – you will need to park in spaces marked with blue lines and purchase a Pay & Display disc via the Apcoa Parking website or by downloading the app – apcoaconnect – to pay by phone. Parking map available here. Please be aware that clamping is in operation on University Grounds.

Your Exhibition Space
The exhibition space for this event will be located in the Zinc Cafe, Alice Perry Engineering Building. Your stand allocation will be available on arrival at the event.
Exhibition Stand Specifications
Each stand will be equipped with:
- A table
- Tablecloth
- Two chairs
Insurance Cover
Mandatory for all exhibitors
All exhibitors are required to provide written evidence of the following insurance coverage in order to exhibit at this event:

Employer’s Liability: Minimum of €13 million

Public Liability: Minimum of €6.5 million
The deadline to submit copies of your insurance documentation is 5:00 PM on Friday, 27th February.
Failure to submit the required evidence by this deadline may result in the cancellation of your booking.

Event Payment
Payment for this Job Market will be made by invoice. If your organisation requires a PO number, please ensure it is provided when booking the fair.
If your organisation is new to the university, you must complete the Company Setup Form. This is a one-time process. If you’ve already submitted the form, you will be invoiced as usual.
