Stamping of Forms

How to get a Form stamped?

The Student Registry Helpdesk can stamp and complete the following types of forms:

  • Medical card application forms
  • Jobseeker’s Allowance
  • Jobseeker’s Benefit
  • Back to Education Allowance
  • Disability Allowance
  • Carer’s Allowance
  • Child Benefit
  • Pension-related
  • Family Income Supplement
  • TUSLA
  • Some funder forms

 Check Before You Visit: Forms We Cannot Stamp

FRS2 (Student Free Fees Declaration) Form
This form must be submitted to the Fees Office for completion. Please email it to fees@universityofgalway.ie.

Teaching Council Character Reference Form
This form must be stamped by the relevant College or School Office.

Please note that we are unable to stamp any character reference forms.

Registered Students Advice

Our service cannot stamp a form for a Student who is not in a Registered status on the University Student Record System.

Registered Students can visit our Front desk service which is open Monday to Friday 9:30am-12:30pm & 1:30pm-4:00pm.

Alternatively Registered Students can scan and email your form(s) to us at askregistry@universityofgalway.ie.  We will return it to you by email within three working days.  It is very important that you include your name and student ID number when contacting the Student Registry Helpdesk.

We do not stamp the following Forms:

SUSI compulsory Field Trip forms

Please liaise with your College/School office directly in relation to this type of form.

Data Protection Information : Parents, Guardians and 3rd Party

If your parent or guardian sends a form or presents at the Front Desk for completion to our service, under Data Protection regulations, we are obliged to contact you about this. 

We are prohibited from releasing information to any third party without your explicit consent.

If a Family Member visits the Student Registry Helpdesk to get a form stamped on your behalf, the Student is required to send an email to askregistry@universityofgalway.ie  granting Student Registry Helpdesk consent.

In your email, you must include the full name of the person who will bring in your form.

We cannot stamp a form unless we receive a Registered student's written permission via email to do so.
