Temporary Wi-Fi Access

eduroam WiFi for Visitors

Visitors can obtain short-term access to WiFi whilst on campus. By visiting universityofgalway.ie/guestwifi, visitors can individually access the network in just three steps. 

Alternatively, event organisers can request eduroam access for visitors from the Library & IT Service Desk. Delegates can be provided with their credentials in advance, and event organisers can specify the duration of the event so that the WiFi credentials of each guest are valid for the entire duration of the event.

• University of Galway Staff & Students, External account holders and Visitors to the University of Galway

I'm hosting an event or conference; how can I set up my delegates/attendees?

• Log a ticket with the Library & IT Service Desk using the following ticket category.

How long will I stay connected?

• Once connected, you will have access until the end of the day.
• For conferences or events specifically configured, users will stay connected for the entire event duration outlined in the Service Desk ticket.
