For some courses, students are required to do a final year project, which can be theoretical or alternatively, based on a real organisation situation. If you are doing one of these courses, it is an ideal opportunity for you to look for a suitable project that you can carry out on their behalf.
We encourage you to discuss this with your supervisor and academic mentor during a three-way meeting. You are also advised to be proactive in coming up with ideas for potential projects that would be of benefit to the employer and of interest to you. The academic mentor will let the employer know the required criteria for the work to qualify as a suitable project. Later, at the exit interview, you can discuss this further with your supervisor and, if appropriate, agree on how to bring the project forward.
