Mode of Study and Assessment
The mode of study for this Micro-credential is Online Learning. Assessment will be carried out on a continuous basis.
In this Micro-credential, students are given a clear and organised schedule of dates, content and work due. The content is divided into five blocks of three weeks. This block structure is designed to avoid putting students under pressure and to give students the flexibility to plan time for learning around the demands of personal life and work.
In each block, the first two weeks involve a weekly release of a series of short videos with running times, and short individual skills target to ensure learners stay on track. The third week of each block involves no new content so that students can focus on the skills target and opt to participate in an optional recorded live drop-in session with other students, where the lecturer discusses the target and student queries. Throughout the learning and assignment process, students are supported by their lecturer directly via Chat, which connects learner and lecturer without the barrier or formality of email.
