You should have an image prepared for your Promo Box Large, recommended size is 310 x 220px. The web-ready image should be stored on your computer. 

You need to fully comply with copyright law. Ensure that you have the right to use any images you upload or insert onto your webpage. Further information is available on our Images FAQ page - Where can I find Images to use on my website.

Tip: Make sure the filename does not contain any spaces, and the file name has at least 3 characters (before the dot) or it might not upload.
Also, remove any characters that are reserved for web addresses ( ! * ' ( ) ; : @ & = + $ , / ? % # [ ] ) or you may not be able to browse to the file once it's uploaded. 

How can I add a Promo Box Large to my page?

  1. Go to the section you want the 'Promo Box Large' content type to appear on
  2. Click on the +Add Content button

  3. Choose the 'Promo Box Large' content type from the available content types
  4. Give your content a Name
  5. Give the content a Title
  6. Input a Subtitle to describe what the Promo box is for - in the example here the box will bring the user to Financial System Frequently Asked Questions
  7. Input more information in the Text box
  8. In the Image field you can drop your file or click into the Drop file here... box to chose your web-ready image from your computer.
  9. Add a Link Title, in the example here it is General Staff FAQ
  10. Add a Section Link or a Content link if linking to another section within the University of Galway Website
    Or
    Insert an External Link URL if linking to an external website
  11. Click Save changes to set status to Pending
    Save changes button.  No option to save and approve or save as draft..
    Or else, 
    Click on the little arrow and choose Save and approve to set status to Approved.
